Hi, and thanks for visiting!

My name is Maria K. Alberto, and I'm a Ph.D. candidate in English (specifically, literature and cultural studies) in the Department of English at the University of Utah.

​As of winter 2022, I'm working on my dissertation, which you can read about in more detail here. I am currently on a Cosgriff-Dahl writing fellowship for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Before coming to the University of Utah, I completed my MA in English at Cleveland State University in 2016.

​Besides teaching and higher education, I have also worked in office administration, the nonprofit sector, editing, and client solutions.
