Hi, and thanks for visiting!

My name is Maria K. Alberto (she/her), and I've just earned my Ph.D. in English - specifically, literature and cultural studies - from the Department of English at the University of Utah.

​As of summer 2024, I'm gearing up for the new academic year: this fall, I'll be teaching a Dungeons & Dragons class at the University of Utah and Introduction to Queer Studies at Salt Lake Community College.

Other Work

Before coming to the University of Utah, I completed my MA in English at Cleveland State University in 2016 and taught there through 2017. 

In addition to higher education, I have also worked in office administration, the nonprofit sector, technical writing and editing, and client solutions.
