Teaching Experience
Writing & Composition
I've been teaching writing and composition as an instructor of record since 2014, and my experience includes teaching:
- first year (100/1000-level) & second year (200/2000-level)
- online-only (synchronous & asynchronous)
- remedial writing
- writing for ESL students
- argumentative, informative, & persuasive writing styles
HONORS COURSES
I have also designed and taught honors-level classes on peer review and open access publishing (Cleveland State University). In this role I developed curriculum, prepared syllabi, created assignments, taught and graded, and oversaw all back-end publication processes for an open-access, peer-reviewed journal of undergraduate scholarship.
Literature
I have also taught a variety of literature classes, including:
- Teaching Diversity in American Literature, Summer 2022 & Fall 2022 (instructor of record)
- Taught Literature by the Numbers, Summer 2021 (instructor of record)
- Co-taught Fanfiction & Adaptation with Anne Jamison, Spring 2021
- TA for Culture & Commerce: Chaucer & Shakespeare with Disa Gambera, Spring 2021
- Taught Introduction to Literary Forms, Fall 2020 (instructor of record)
